Endurance Symposium to Benefit 2015

13 Dec

Richmond has a very active scene around all sorts of bike racing.  Although that scene does not overlap entirely with the movement to increase bicycling for transportation, there is a good deal of synergy between the two.  Richmond 2015, the non-profit in organizing the UCI World Championship races, is working to leverage the races to leave a more lasting mark in Richmond in the form of increased cycling.

Along with the Brain Injury Association of America, Richmond 2015 will benefit from proceeds of an symposium coming up in February.  Organized by local Tidewater Physical Therapy,  the Richmond Endurance Athlete Symposium and Expo will bring together some very big names in endurance sports, including former pro cyclist Chris Carmichael.  (Check the link above for the full agenda).  Of course cycling is not the only endurance sport: this is for runners and triathletes too.  So if you would classify yourself as an endurance athlete or would like to eventually do so, check it out.  Advance registration is only $25.
