Downtown Bike Lanes Meeting this Wednesday

13 Mar
DC-Bike-Lane

A two-way cycle track (separated bike lane) in Washington, D.C.

The city is seeking input on plans for separated bike lanes in downtown Richmond.  Basically they’re looking to create an east-west route between Monroe Park and 9th Street, either with a two-way separated lane like the one pictured above, or with individual separated lanes on Franklin and Main Streets.

Come and let the city know 1) that you really support separated bike lanes here and in general; and 2) which options you think would be best for people on bikes.

Place: Richmond Main Library, 101 E. Franklin Street
Time: 5:30-7 p.m.

*An additional note to Bikeable Richmond readers: you have no doubt noticed a lot less in the way of posts on the site over the past few months.  I have shifted to sharing stuff on Facebook more for the time being, so if you’re not following me on Facebook, check it out!
